The latest features helping users work smarter than ever
NetSuite’s second major update of the year is here, and it’s packed full of powerful built-in tools and AI-driven features designed to help users work smarter than ever. Rolling out between August and October, NetSuite 2025.2 brings a range of enhancements, including industry-specific solutions, improved reporting capabilities, smarter automation, and additional compliance support. In this blog, we take a deep dive into some of the exciting updates hitting the platform over the next few months:
Inventory, Supply Chain & Fulfilment
Warehouse Management & Fulfillment Automation
NetSuite 2025.2 brings numerous practical updates to help warehouse and fulfillment teams save time and reduce manual processes. One standout update in this release is the new automatic lot and serial numbering feature, now built into WMS, which generates these numbers automatically during receiving or assembly, removing the need for manual entry or spreadsheet tracking.
Bin management has also been improved. If stock is damaged or missing, warehouse staff can now quickly flag and block the bin with a single click. Those bins are then removed from pick lists automatically, and alerts are sent to users, helping improve picking accuracy and speed.
Shipping has also been simplified with the new Pickup Schedule feature in Ship Central which lets you book carrier pickups right from the app. Users no longer have to drop orders off – you can now simply select the shipping labels and pick a time. NetSuite also added bulk label printing, making it easier to print multiple shipping or return labels at once, even across different carriers.
Easier Supply Planning & Allocation
NetSuite has introduced some helpful new tools in this release to help businesses stay ahead of supply chain disruptions. New alerts flag failed supply plans in real time, while the enhanced Planning Workbench offers filters and rescheduling suggestions, giving planners more control over timelines and resource allocation.
If you need to prioritize certain orders, a new “To Be Expedited” flag makes it simple to highlight high-priority orders, and when managing transfer orders, you can now filter out locations that don’t have enough stock, which saves time and reduces errors. There’s also a new option to exclude certain orders from planning using custom workflows without having to make manual edits.
Finally, improvements to kit fulfillment ensure that all parts in a kit are available before confirming delivery dates, reducing the risk of incomplete shipments and, in turn, unhappy customers! Users can also define custom allocation rules and lead times to better manage complex inventory scenarios.
SCM Mobile App Upgrade
The NetSuite Supply Chain Management mobile app now supports precise date-and-time pickup scheduling, giving teams more control over carrier coordination and improving overall fulfillment efficiency.
“The release really makes inventory, supply chain, and fulfillment much easier to manage. What’s great about these updates is how much time and hassle they’ll save our clients day to day," says Dominique Antonelli, Director of Consulting Services at Vursor. "A lot of teams were still using spreadsheets to track lot numbers or juggling pickups manually with carriers. Now, with automatic lot numbering and the ability to schedule pickups right in NetSuite, they can keep things moving with a lot less back and forth. This update really helps warehouse and supply chain operations run more smoothly and is a big step forward for clients who want to modernize without adding more complexity.”
AI & User Experience
NetSuite 2025.2 continues to embed AI deeper across the platform, making it easier for users to work faster, smarter, and with less manual effort. This release introduces AI-powered Close Insights, which helps finance teams speed up month-end by analyzing close logs, flagging issues, and suggesting next steps. Compliance teams are now also able to leverage AI with NetSuite Compliance 360, which uses AI to track user activity, summarize findings, and send real-time alerts, helping to support ongoing compliance requirements and stay audit-ready.
Planning teams now have access to AI-based multivariate forecasting in NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, allowing them to analyze multiple business drivers together, such as sales, inventory, and marketing spend, for more accurate projections. In NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, a new contextual insights feature highlights trends and anomalies using both visuals and easy to read summaries, so users can quickly spot changes and make more informed, data-led decisions.
The release also introduced more tailored user experiences, including new roles for Project Managers and Site Operators, giving the right level of access based on specific responsibilities. For Recruitment businesses, recruiters can now generate job descriptions directly in SuitePeople using built-in GenAI tools. This will help recruiters generate job descriptions much faster and will help save hours manually writing job descriptions. Plus, if your team works across different regions, the NetSuite Text Enhance feature now supports instant translations in 22 languages, making it much easier to localize job posts and communicate internally.
"What’s exciting about these updates is that NetSuite’s not just about adding more AI—they’re about making it genuinely useful," says Drew Preiner, VP of Sales at Vursor. "Whether it’s helping finance close faster, giving planners more accurate forecasts, or saving recruiters hours of manual work, these tools are designed to make day-to-day work easier across the board."
Localization & Compliance
NetSuite 2025.2 brings helpful updates for U.S.-based businesses looking to stay compliant and operate more efficiently. The platform now supports electronic invoicing through the Digital Business Networks Alliance (DBNA), allowing companies to send and receive invoices securely, reduce paperwork, and speed up billing processes. Additionally, new tax enhancements make it easier to stay compliant with state-specific rules by supporting item-level tax exemptions based on nexus and time periods, helping ensure the correct tax rates are applied automatically.
Analytics & Reporting
This latest release helps make it even easier for businesses to make faster, more informed decisions. Supply and demand planning data is now available in SuiteAnalytics Workbooks, giving supply chain teams real-time visibility into inventory levels, upcoming orders, and forecasted demand, all in one place. For software and subscription-based companies, the new SaaS Metrics and SaaS 360 Dashboard offer a clear view of recurring revenue, churn, customer performance, and trends, making it easier to track key metrics without jumping between reports. Together with the AI-powered multivariate forecasting and contextual insights mentioned earlier, these new tools will give teams a much clearer picture of their business, helping them plan and stay ahead of the competition.
At its core, NetSuite 2025.2 brings a range of practical updates designed to make every day work easier. From warehouse and supply planning improvements to better reporting and compliance support, it’s all about streamlining processes and reducing manual effort.
